Lots of great holiday projects!
Lots of great projects today! Photoshop holiday cards, soldering, airplanes, balloon cars, Tinkercad for backpack tags, and altoid tin art. Today started off with brainstorming projects and gift ideas (so completed project pictures will be scarce here for a while). Students worked on computer projects, electronics, craft items, catapults, airplanes, and felting. Lots of great projects today. We had students taking apart a video camera, transforming a tricycle into a catapult, creating a water balloon destructor, trying out a magnifying glass to burn leaves, and some excellent water balloon fights.
After setting our Shared Space / Shared Expectations for the year Makers worked on a variety of projects including safety pin bracelets, iMovie, catapults, papercrafting, and programming using Processing. Students worked on a variety of projects including making a computer component graveyard, making bracelets out of safety pins, creating handles, making different types of catapults, and paper crafting. Students worked on cleaning up a 3D print, coding an Arduino, making hot glue snowflakes, paper airplanes, coding, and a great LED project involving a ping pong ball! Great first day for the Red Group! We had 13 Makers today. Students worked on LED flowers and pumpkins, creating sculptures from computer parts, taking apart a record player, taking apart various other computers and printers, creating an iMovie trailer for Maker Club, and taking apart a rubrics cube.
